Metal Improvement Company Acquires Salem, Ohio Heat-Treating Facility

The Metal Improvement Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation, announced today that it has acquired the commercial heat-treating business of privately-held Electric Furnace Company in Salem, Ohio.

"This addition fits into our strategic plan to expand our network of heat-treating facilities in North America through acquisition. The Salem operation is a profitable business that should add to our earnings immediately."
