Improvement Company Acquires Wichita, KS Heat-Treating
Facility
The
Metal Improvement Company, a wholly owned subsidiary
of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation, announced today that
it had acquired the assets of a heat-treating operation
located in Wichita, Kansas from Bodycote Thermal Processing.
The 30,000 sq. ft. facility services over 200 customers
in a number of industries including aerospace and agriculture.
Martin Benante, Chairman and CEO of Curtiss-Wright stated,
"This acquisition expands our metal treatment customer
base and heat treating capacity for the aerospace market.
The addition will enable us to better service our customer
base in the Wichita area where we have had a longstanding
presence providing heat-treating and shot-peening services."
Metal Improvement Company, headquartered in Paramus,
NJ, is a recognized worldwide leader in providing outsourced
shot-peening, shot-peen forming and heat treating. These
metal treatment services are provided to the aerospace,
defense, automotive, petrochemical, agricultural equipment,
